Fifteen years ago, Nicole Dionne and Robin De Lano bonded in the trenches of background casting. Developing their eye for detail, background casting gave them amazing opportunities to cast some of the most popular TV shows and movies to grace the screen.

​After a few years working with extras they decided to team up and launch into principal talent - and Stella Nova Casting was born. They have attracted award-winning indie features, awarding-winning commercials, indie pilots, music videos, new media projects, and even cast an Oscar-winning short in 2021.

 

While working with some of the best up-and-coming talent, in front of and behind the camera, Nicole and Robin have utilized their unique understanding of performance and preparation from their own history and experience as actors. This expertise gives them first-hand awareness of promoting an environment that supports both artists and filmmakers to feel confident and safe to express their creativity.

 

Their projects span the globe and have been seen at TIFF, Sundance, Lifetime, Amazon, Shudder, Netflix, and most recently Hallmark. ​
